From Jody Johnson: "It is with  heavy Heart that I post my mom JoAnn Perkins passed on May 8th peacefully in her home with Lassen and Shasta in her views or thoughts. Her life was incredibly, amazingly… She did so much ( understatement). My Sisters Heidi Freeman an Lynn Perkins were near. We plan on a celebration of life and will let you know. I love ❤️ you mom". Jo Ann, originally Beresford, along with her father, were developers of Mineral and the Mineral Water District. For awhile, she owned the Lodge in Mineral. She wrote the book "Population 85" about her memories of Mineral.
