Famous for our beautiful trees, Mineral is adorned during the late Fall with natural wreaths. Join the wreath making workshop to make your own this year. Feel free to bring supplies, but they are also provided. No charge. Recently the annual workshop has been held at the Park HQ, but as the date approaches, the location will be posted here on the site and on flyers once confirmed.
Dress in traditional caroling garb or come as you are! The voices of Mineral are the most beautiful when singing together at traditional Christmas Caroling. Depending on the weather, we will walk or drive (if icy) to locations throughout Mineral to sing songs. Lyrics will be provided.
The tradition is coming back!
Hopefully you will be in Mineral during Thanksgiving weekend and participate in this tradition coming back to life in Mineral. Invite friends and family to join you in creating and entering a float or on-foot Thanksgiving or holiday themed costume and/or watch and cheer on the participants! Also, please take and share pictures and videos to commemorate this living history! Keep your eyes out for the Claus family...

This summer, we are celebrating community by creating a series of camp-like activities for neighbors and visitors to gather, meet each other and enjoy the spirit of Summer Camp in Mineral. Events include conservation activities, arts & crafts, s'mores, Bingo, softball with community picnics and many, many more. In addition, local venues and organizations are hosting events, too. Find a comprehensive event calendar on this website, but you can also add it to your Google calendar. To consider the Mineral activities when planning your schedule, click on or off the Mineral calendar (on the left of your Google Calendar under My Calendar). Always check the www.mineralcalifornia.com website in case there are last minute changes.
The Mineral community has been playing cards for more than 35 years now... (37?!) every other week. Currently the game is on Wednesdays at 6 PM (Summer Hours). This rummy game has unique rules that have been in place for many years, so get ready to learn this unique and traditional version of the game.
For more information, contact Pam or stop by the Breakfast Club at the Lodge on Sunday mornings to get more information. No money is involved in any way, but there are usually good snacks brought by community members to share for free!
Join Park staff, residents and visitors for a community softball game and picnic. Feel free to join in softball, or just visit, eat, BBQ, roast some s'mores, do some crafts and/or simply enjoy the company of neighbors. Bring food to eat and if you like, bring food to share.
Volunteers: Love raking? Join early to rake around the BBQ pits.

If your sewer arterial hasn't been inspected yet, you can't be sure that it is not drawing ground water into the main, creating problems downstream for Mineral's wastewater treatment plant. To see if your arterial was inspected in 2019 by Alpha & Omega Plumbing, refer to PDF page 67 of the Mineral Wastewater Collection and Treatment Improvement Project here. Homeowners are responsible for the maintenance and repair of their sewer arterials from the clean-out to the saddle at the main. A CCTV camera inspection will reveal any sources of infiltration/ inflow along the arterial pipe. See which area plumbers have signed up as providers of this valuable service to Mineral residents here.

Did you know that 100’ of defensible space around your home is the law? With the threat of drought returning this year, creating defensible space is more important than ever. But this can be too much of a burden if you are elderly or unable to perform yard work. Fortunately, the Tehama Conservation Fund has a solution: free assistance with branch or tree pruning, removal of dead branches, mowing of seasonal grass, and chipping. Apply for assistance online or call Brin Greer at 727-1295. Read more about preparedness.
Those who wish to cut firewood in the national forest must possess a current ‘Personal Fuelwood’ permit issued by the U.S. Forest Service. Read more.
